Hot Tubs and Apple Pies.

by admin on October 10, 2009

Sunday 4th was our second annual Apple Pie Festival and Baking Competition. It was a great day of musical entertainment, baking delicacies and hot tub high-jinx.

The baking competition drew over 20 entries, with dishes ranging from traditional apple pies to award winning apple trifles!.

Live music was provided by the sultry sounds of Rebecca Gresti, Eoin O’Connor and Paul Carter.

We were lucky enough to have a hot tub provided by “dutchtub” positioned on Greystones mainstreet, which was free for all brave enough to take a dip in public!. Information about these wonderful eco-friendly hot tubs can be found at  www.dutchtub.com

The winners of the three categories of the baking competition were; Patrick Doherty (Kids winner) our very own Laurel (Freestyle winner) and Judy! (Adult winner).

Our next festival will be a Halloween Party on the 25th of October.

We will be holding a Pumpkin Carving Competition and we challenge you to carve out the coolest pumpkin you can to bring to the shop on the day and be in with a chance of winning a great prize.

There will be live music, great costumes and toffee apples for all (all who decide to dress up that is!) So bring your pumpkins and your family and don your scariest costume for a day of community fun.
